The Prophet Muhammad emphasized health and well-being by advocating for a balanced diet, personal hygiene (including dental care), physical activity, and moderation in all aspects of life, such as food, sleep, and worship. He also taught his followers to value and appreciate health as a great blessing from God and that the strong believer is more beloved to Allah, encouraging physical and spiritual strength.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
"Everything that is not connected to remembrance of Allah is an idle pursuit except for four things: a man's talking with his wife, a man's training his horse, a man's walking between two targets [i.e., practising archery], and a man's learning to swim".

About Isa Shazin Swimming

I am Isa Shazin, a student of Grade 6 and 11 years old. I warmly welcome you all to my website!

The reason I created this website is to share my journey of mastering swimming, from being a beginner to becoming more like a professional. I hope my experience will help you in your own swimming journey.

I have been practicing swimming for the past 3 years to reach this level. In the beginning, I started by learning how to float. Watching other people swim professionally made me feel a little ashamed, but I was determined to learn. So, I continued practicing.

Soon, I learned different strokes step by step:

  • Freestyle – this is like floating while rotating your arms forward.

  • Backstroke – similar to freestyle but in reverse, where you float on your back and move your arms backward.

  • Breaststroke – also like freestyle, but with arms moving wide apart as you glide forward.

  • Butterfly – the most challenging stroke. It may look easy, but it requires moving both arms forward together. It is hard to balance because of buoyancy, and it needs a lot of stamina.

One of the main benefits of swimming is that it makes your bones and muscles stronger while also increasing your stamina.
